To sell on ScoutingAuction.com you will need to first register for an account, then verify your identity though our verification program. Verification is now an automated process, and you will be able to list immediately upon completion of this step. To verify your account, just click the SELL button located on the main header menu. You will then be directed to the verification page if your account is not verified. Once verification is completed, you will not see this verification prompt again.
Click the "my account" tab in the members area. Then click the "manage account" sub-tab. Scroll down to the direct payment settings, then enter your PayPal email address, then click the update button at the bottom of the page. Now when you list auctions, select the "PayPal" option for direct payment settings.
You need to be sure to set up the callback URL in PayPal, so PayPal automatically updates the payment status for auctions paid with direct pay. To do this you will need to log in to your PayPal account, click the "profile" link, then click the "instant payment notification" link. On this page you will need to turn this preference on, and include the below url as the IPN URL.
https://www.scoutingauction.com/pp_paypal.php
Your buyers will now be able to pay you directly through a paypal pay now button on the ScoutingAuction.com website. This must be completed before listing items, and you must select paypal direct pay for each auction for this to work.
Leaving Feedback
You should always leave feedback after a transaction so that other members may benefit from your experience. This is the best way for people to know who’s a good person to bid, buy, or trade from, and who they should avoid.
In most cases a high feedback score and high percentage is good, but you should always check your trading partner's member profile to read comments and look for negative remarks.
It is best to keep your member profile public. Other members may be wary of trading with someone with a private member profile.
If a problem arises, contact your trading partner and try to resolve any issues before leaving negative feedback. Many things can cause delays (sickness, weather, accidents, etc.) Communication is your best way of finding out what’s going on.
Once given, you cannot remove the feedback you have left, so be sure to leave only fair and factual comments and ratings that relate to a specific transaction you have with your trading partner.
Feedback Scoring
Feedback is made up of comments and ratings left by other ScoutingAuction.com members you've bought, sold, or traded with. These comments and ratings are valuable indicators of your reputation as a buyer or seller on ScoutingAuction.com. They are included, along with an overall feedback score, in your member profile.
How it works The ScoutingAuction.com feedback rating system is easy.

-1 POINT |

When to check your feedback
If you are buying an item, check the feedback score of the person you are buying from before you bid on an item. Then, check the seller's member rating by clicking on the number next to their name. Sellers may also want to view the member profiles of bidders to see how reliable they've been in the past.
How to leave feedback
After you make a sale or purchase, remember to leave feedback for the ScoutingAuction.com member you bought, sold, or traded with. This helps everyone in the community know what it's like to deal with that member.
Note: Feedback will not be removed. The feedback you give is permanent, so be sure to make only fair and factual comments.
Feedback /Abuse Removal Policy
Feedback that meets any of the circumstances below is feedback abuse and may be subject to removal.
"Investigated Feedback" * – Feedback that is deemed removable after a complete investigation by our management team. Please report feedback for investigation to admin@scoutingauction.com.
The feedback comment contains personal identifying information about another member, including real name, address, phone number, or e-mail address. Feedback should only contain factual descriptions of what transpired.
The feedback comment contains links or scripts.
Feedback left by a user who bid on or purchased an item solely to have the opportunity to leave negative feedback for the seller, with no intention of completing the transaction.
If any feedback comments contain profane, vulgar, obscene, or racist language or adult material, it will be removed. In addition, Inflammatory language, such as "fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man" etc. is strongly discouraged and may also be removed. It may even be grounds for legal action between members.
The feedback makes reference to any scoutingauction.com or law enforcement organization investigation.
Negative feedback intended for another user will be considered for removal only in situations where the user responsible for the mistaken posting informs scoutingauction.com of the error and has already placed the same feedback for the correct member.
*Some examples of "Investigated Feedback" that will be removed:
Retaliatory Feedback – You have left negative feedback for a Non-Paying Buyer after a Dispute Resolution that resulted in the Non-Paying Buyer receiving a strike. If they retaliate, that feedback will be removed.
Nonsense Feedback - "I can't figure out how to pay you", "I mailed check on 6/12 today is 6/14 where is my item", or sometimes they leave positive comments but choose the negative option: "Excellent item, very pleased" but left as a negative.
